How Registration Checking Works

Simple File List Pro will periodically check to be sure that the plugin is properly registered. It needs to do this to be sure that the current domain or local admin email matches an existing record. Copies of SFL can be moved, copied or refunded.

SFL uses WordPress transients to keep track of when the next check takes place. If the last check is good, the next won’t happen for one week. If the last check failed, it will try again in one hour.

This is the URL that SFL checks. Substitute your own values to check your site…

https://reg.simplefilelist.com/index.php?eeProduct=ee-simple-file-list-pro&eeDomain=simplefilelist.com&eeEmail=support@simplefilelist.com&eeVersion=6.1.12

Clicking on this will return a simple YES or NO, based on the values of eeProduct, eeDomain and maybe eeEmail (local)

The design is to “Fail Open”, meaning that unless the proper parameters are passed and the check specifically returns a NO, the check will pass. Even a server error or timeout will pass.

To force a re-check of the registration, you can either click of the Re-Scan Files button above the Admin File List or Deactivate and then Re-Activate Simple-File List Pro.
