Here’s a neat trick you can use if you want to completely hide a folder, both front and back.

Navigate to the folder you want to hide using FTP or your web host’s file manager application. Be sure its setting for “Show Hidden Items” is ON. You should be able to see the .thumbnails folders.

Rename this folder, adding a single dot to the front of the name.

• Problem-PDFs (Visible)
• .Problem-PDFs (Hidden)

Once you re-scan the list or reload a file list page, this folder is removed from the cache and Simple File List will now ignore this folder. You can still access it from your current vantage point, and once you rename it back, it will appear again in your list.

This can be handy if you need to temporarily hide a folder.
